Alison Ann Sweeney (born September 19, 1976) is an American actress and reality show hostess best known for her portrayal of Samantha "Sami" Gene Brady on the long running NBC drama Days of our Lives. In this role, she has earned four Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award. In 2007, Sweeney became the host of the NBC tv series The Biggest Loser, replacing the previous host Caroline Rhea.
